Madonna Delays Celebration Tour After Intensive Care Stay

Pop queen Madonna, 64, has delayed her world tour “Celebration” after being taken to ICU for some serious bacterial infection.

According to her Manager, Guy Oseary, Singer Madonna spent several days in the ICU after being hospitalized for a severe bacterial infection.

Guy Oseary posted a message on Instagram that read:

“On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection, which led to a several-day stay in the ICU. Her health is improving, but she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected,” he wrote. “At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour.”

Presently, superstar Madonna’s health is improving, and a full recovery is expected pretty soon.

However, the type of bacterial infection she suffered and how long it will take for her to fully recover have not been made public yet.

Madonna was scheduled to begin her “Celebration” tour with a performance in Vancouver on July 15. However, now that the tour has been postponed, a new schedule will be announced shortly.

Madonna’s Celebration tour, a 35-city run that included Seattle, Phoenix, Chicago, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Washington, D.C., followed by 11 European dates in the fall, will have to be rescheduled.

Madonna is likely to be in the final stages of her rehearsal program in preparation for the tour.
